Product Details
Cumbria was as full of miners as it was of mines at one time, and these two miners, as sober and wearying as their work is, have shed the heavy mantle of toil for a moment. Though this is a scene in a deep level of the large iron orebody of the famous Hodbarrow Iron mine beneath Millom in South Cumbria where the shifting sandy ground would furrow the red stained brows of these men, these two are still having a bit o’ crack about summat or other. The camaraderie of the district’s miners was well known and is now a sorely missed part of dales life.
